Maria S. Topalova is the director of the online news portal GRReporter and a correspondent of BTV in Athens. She wrote and directed the documentary "Political Emigrants".

"Political Emigrants”, a documentary by Maria S. Topalova, was presented in Sofia on Tuesday.  The film is about the fate of thousands of Greeks who, during the civil war in Greece in the period from 1946 to 1949, were forced to leave their homes and were able to find refuge in neighbouring Bulgaria. The event was attended by journalists, diplomats, teachers and participants in the dramatic events of the last century.
