Here will be a very important guest artist from Japan who will participate in a Greek play and perform Butoh dances. A symposium on "Recent tragic myths" will be held which is the main subject of the entire festival. Its aim will be to associate the myths as ancient authors have examined them with the modern times and problems. The workshop for young actors will last two weeks during which they will be trained five hours a day. The parallel events include performances of students who are dealing with ancient Greek drama in their schools and organize performances and performances of dramatic schools with the participation of young actors. The program is very rich and we hope to evoke the interest of the public and professionals.

Do you think the audience will respond?

I would like to believe that there will be response, and I feel we will have its support. Ticket prices are extremely low just to help the people overcome the difficulties of the economic crisis. The tickets for all festival productions cost € 10 and the price for all other performances is € 15. The film tickets are even cheaper - € 7 and € 4 for students. I deeply believe that theatre and art could be solace to people in times difficult as those.
