This year's competition "Make Innovation Work" is again organized by the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and the US Embassy but now it has the official support of the Athens Stock Exchange. The winners will receive 45,000 euro for their innovative projects in five categories, including green energy, alternative agriculture, the shipping industry, logistics and healthcare (well-being). The initiative will take place for the second time and will enable new or established companies to apply for funding and for a package of consulting services to realize their business idea.
Entrepreneurs and organizations can submit their projects along with business plans until the middle of October. A commission of experts, businessmen and researchers from different universities around the world will consider and evaluate the anonymous projects by March 2014 and will announce the winners in the spring of the same year. Local or foreign nationals who are planning to develop their projects in Greece are eligible to participate in the competition.
