The fate of the Greek national team is already clear and will depend on the coaching skills of the Portuguese Fernando Santos. The next important task for the Greek football are the transfers. The period of the transfers is the favorite of the managers of all stars on the field. Everyone is arranging his party on the chess board, and the game never ends quickly ...

Next season is particularly important for the team of Olympiakos. After losing its position in the Greek championship, the white-red team wants to open a new page in its history. So while the players are runnng over the hills in the German village of Bad Verishofen under the watchful eye of their new coach, in Athens Vassilis Marinakis is making plans for new players in the squad. One of the key players that the new owner of the club is stubbornly pursueing is the ace of Roma Júlio Baptista. Coach Claudio Ranieri does not take him into account and it is almost certain that Baptista will leave Roma. Olympiakos is hoping to dress the Brazilian with the white and red shirt.

Goal number one for the white-reds remains, however, Montenegrin Simon Vukshevich. Grom his current club Sporting Lisbona does not to take him into account for the next season and so the chances to transfer to Olympiakos grow. The 24 years old talent began his career with Partizan Belgrade. From there he was bought by Russian Saturn for four million euros, but failed to adjust in Russia and so in July 2007 he was bought by Sporting Lisbona for two million euros.

The need for right extreme made the white and reds and the greens fight for the former Lyon player Sydney Govu. For now, Olympiakos is the one that holds the front with a higher price but Yannis Vardinoyanis also is determined to win player on his side. He is expected to make a better proposal and dress the 30-years-old center-forward in green. Greek sports website www.sport.gr also refers to an important transfer. The site cites a piece of information of the French L'Equipe of the interest of the greens in Romarik. 27 years old player is bound by contract until 2012, but does not have a leading position in the list of coach Antonio Alvarez.

In the media’s interest continues to be the transfer of the player of Panathinaikos Sebastian Leto. Although too "expensive" Leto currently remains in the green camp, the rumors in the media about the fate of the star do not stop. After Benfica showed interest in the Argentine Panathinaikos requested the ambitious amount of 10 million euros. As it could have been expected the Portuguese decided to find another addition to the hole formed after the sale of Di Maria to Real Madrid. A more reasonable solution seemed to be the transfer of Hames Rodriguez from Banfild at a price almost two times lower than that of Leto. The transfer of Rodriguez, however did not happen and Benfica is again looking at Leto. This time the greens set his price at 7,000,000 euros.

With a new addition in a few days can boast the technical staff of Panathinaikos. Technical Director of the team is now officially the Portuguese Carlos Freytas. Freytas has firmly decided in next two years to help the greens achieve success not only in Greece but also in Europe.

Hector Raul Cooper also started some hard work on his team. The yellow team expects a positive solution to the problem with the transfer of player Eddie Johnson from Fulham. From Aris they want to buy his rights for 500,000 euro. Both sides have verbally agreement for a two-years contract for 700 thousand euros. The second transfer, which is of interest to Aris is that of the Brazilian Edu Gaspar.

From AEK they failed to complete transfer of the Brazilian Zheovani. So he probably will have to "jump over" to neighboring Turkey, where in the company of the Pole Michal Zhevlakov former player of Olympiakos, will play in Ankaraguchou. The new good addition of the yellow and black team is another Brazilian named Eder Luis Lima. 23 years-old center-forward has already signed a contract with the team. "I came to AEK Athens to win titles," said Lima to the Greek media.
