A boy at the age of 18 and two at the age of 17 and 16 are the anonymous hackers, who had cracked the codes of the website of the Greek Ministry of Justice in early February this year and then, blocked it for more than a day. They were arrested this week and are currently being investigated. The young boys belong to the Greek hacker organization that calls itself the Greek Hacking Scene - GHS. All three are students at upper secondary school. Each of them has his own nickname, and according to the information provided by the police, they are "delirium", "nikpa" and "extasy".

Those arrested are of Greek origin and charges of illegal access to state computer systems and databases are hanging on them. The special department fighting e-crime had traced them through the Internet. After their addresses had been identified, houses in three different locations were raided and 12 computers and three laptops were seized. Currently, a team of the regional prosecutor’s office in Athens is investigating the case and the charges are under Article 370 of the Penal Code. The investigation of the case for blocking the website of the Ministry of Justice is ongoing and the police are searching for other members of the hacker group.

On 2 February this year, the website of the Ministry of Justice awoke blocked with a black screen showing only Anonymous' video message. It was addressed to representatives of government and justice and said, "Greetings, Greece. We are Anonymous. What is going on in your country is unacceptable. You were chosen by your people to act on their behalf and express their wishes but you have failed. You have killed the most sacred element your country had and that is Democracy. Democracy was born in your country but now you have killed it. What an irony. "

Anonymous' message continues with the remark that the Greek government has chosen to join the International Monetary Fund, despite the will of the majority of people. They call the policy pursued "a new dictatorship upon your people’s shoulders", which only benefits the bankers and the monarchs of the European Union. The Anonymous emphasize that this policy robs people politically and economically, forcing them to pay for the mistakes of corrupt politicians. The hackers do not fail to note that the situation has begun to cause a deep hatred towards the Greeks in general, although the nation as a whole is not responsible for the crimes of its politicians. The police is taking advantage of the opportunities instability offers, increasing their attacks against ordinary citizens, said the hackers who end their message with: "We are Anonymous. We are legion. We do not forgive. We do not forget. You should have expected us. People should not be afraid of their governments. It’s governments that should be afraid of their people."
