The first days of the New Year brought great joy for Sotiris Ninis. The name of the Panathinaikos player found a place in the 10 most talented players in the world list of the Spanish magazine Don Balon. Don Balon, which is one of the leading soccer magazines, ranked the 19-year-old along with names of future stars like Lukaku (Aderleht), Cuttino (Vasco da Gama), Muniain (Bilbao), Subotic (Dortmund), Rodriguez (Banflid), Ramsei (Arsenal), Jacket (Paris Saint-Germain), Yovetich (Fiorentina), and Dzagoev (CSKA Moscow).
Ninis or "Kaka" as they call him is a central striker and is known for his quickness and good lateral attacks. He competes in first group since 2006, when only 16-year-old he signed his first contract with Panathinaikos. Ninis scored his first goal during a game with Panyonios in January 2007, which made him the second youngest player who have scored a goal in the first group after Thomas Mavros from Panyonios and simultaneously the youngest player, who have scored a goal with Panathinaikos. That same year he was named for the best young player by the Union of sports journalists in Greece.
Since 2008 Ninis has been playing in the national team of the country and the price of €15 million, serves as a brake for those interested in buying him and guarantees that he will remain playing for Panathinaikos.
