100% of the luxury casino Parrinello, which is state owned so far, will be sold in 2011. Then an independent supervisory body is planned to be established to monitor the activities of the companies operating in the field of gaming and entertainment, making a law on online gambling in the meantime. Last but not least, the Ministry of Finance will sell four airplanes  Airbus 300-400 this year, which were left after the privatization of Olympic Airways almost two years ago. The four airplanes were not sold to the new owner of the legendary Greek airline and were left to be sold later. According to initial calculations, however, this deal will not bring more than 90 million euros to the government.

"We do not start with the logic of dismissals," promised the Minister of Finance George Papakonstantinou in connection with the loss of jobs since the beginning of the privatization program. "Our goal is to remedy public organizations so that they are useful to society," he explained. However, the Minister Finance did not exclude the possibility to resort to layoffs if they are required for the particular company.
