Tonight at around 09:30pm, a massive explosion was detonated in a car in front of the best secured building in Greece – the one of the Chief Directorate of the Greek police building. Both are on the central Athens Boulevard “Alexandras,” right across from the “Panatinaikos” stadium, where the area is strictly guarded. The police do not know how the car with the explosives was not noticed, when it was parked around the police headquarters, or for how long the explosives were waiting to be detonated.

Until now there is no information whether there are any victims. The area is closed off by the police and there is a natural gas leak around the explosion area.
