The Greek public is in shock for the last 48 hours after the most popular model in the country Theo Theodoridis was caught with 4 kilos of cocaine at the airport in Sofia on Sunday night. Because of his exceptional beauty, the 32 year old Theo is often compared by the young to the ancient Greek God of the sun Apollo and is loved by the older because of his numerous charities. Theo can sweep people off their feet with his appearance on the catwalk, which guarantees him numerous prestige jobs and in the last 1-2 years he proved he has actor’s talent as well.

This is why the news that he is caught carrying drugs worked as a cold shower for his fans, who are mainly 10-11 years old or even 70 and up. The 32 year old model was caught at the airport in Sofia with a fake passport when he was trying to get on the airplane for Istanbul. The passport control police found his real passport too and informed their Greek colleagues right away. He was also being searched for from the Greek police for drug trafficking. In Istanbul Theo Theodoridis was supposed to transfer to another plane, which was going to Dubai. “We have informed our colleagues from Bulgaria and they acted instantly and faultlessly,” said the police director in Northern Greece Stergios Apostolidis. Theodoridis was arrested on Sunday night and last night at around 09:00pm he was driven by the Bulgarian authorities to the dead zone of the border line Kulata-Promahon, where he was given to the Greek police. He was taken to the police station in Poligoro on Halkidiki peninsula and today he will give a statement in front of the prosecutor.

The famous model was leaving for Columbia, in order to make a deal for 4160gr of cocaine, which the Columbian professionals hid in his…laptop. Firstly they compressed the drugs, separated in into 4 parts and aromatized it with camphor, in order not to be smelled by the police dogs. The package was with an end recipient, who did not suspect anything and whose passport was stolen not too long ago, arrived at the “Macedonia” airport. The “friends” of the famous model had to receive the package by a courier services firm in Moudania in Halkidiki peninsula.

From then on, Theodoridis’ actions are so professional that any argument for involuntary involvement in the crime will be groundless, claim lawyers. He doesn’t go to pick up the drugs but he send two of his people, ages 30 and 38, who were caught by the police right away. Theodoridis watches the scene from close and even tries to warn his “colleagues” but without success. “We knew he won’t escape. His actions were very well organized and professional but we knew it was him behind everything and we wouldn’t let it pass,” says the police director in Northern Greece Stergios Apostolidis.

Thousands of young Greeks, who gave Theo Theodoridis their admiration, are disappointed and so are many of his colleagues and people from the show business who lost their sleep from Sunday night until now. Obviously the Greek police is about to discover the biggest network, which supplies the art world in the country with drugs. Theo Theodoridis himself looks psychologically destroyed, when the TV cameras managed to get few shots when he was given to the Greek police at Kulata-Promahon. Tired, with handcuffs and not saying a word the beautiful model got on a silver jeep “Skoda Octavia,” which took his to the police station in Poligoro.
