The "bad guy" in the latest James Bond film is Greek

“I hope not to disappoint you when you see the film. My part in it is small,” admits the 28-year-old Simon Kassianides in his interview for “Eleftheros Tipos” newspaper. Son of a British mother and Greek father, he starts from the business before he gets to the show business, and as small as his part is as Yusef, it is a big deal to play in a James Bond film. He likes his hard pronouncing name and is proud of his heritage. He visits Athens a lot, where his father lives. His last time here was 3 months ago.

Of course, Simon Kassianides is a fan of agent 007 from his childhood years, but agrees that not all episodes from the agent’s life are equally good. He believes that ever since Daniel Craig took over the part of the charming agent, the films have changed and now combine spectacular scenes with a well written script.“ For me shooting the film was a big surprise. The team, which is behind James Bond is one of professionals, whose only interest is to finish the job better. They are not arrogant, and this is something I didn’t expect,” shares the actor.

Finally, James Bond doesn’t kill Yusef. Will Kassianides expect an invitation for one of the next films? “It would be nice, but I doubt it would happen,” says Simon Kassianides. For now he is focusing his attention on other productions. Right now he is shooting a movie by Aneshka Lukeziak, “Between Two Fires.” “I don’t want to repeat myself in my parts. I am still too young to build a specific character,” says the actor.

Maybe all of us have already seen “Quantum of Solace,” but it is always a pleasure to see Daniel Craig one more time. For this, you can click here:
