The beginning of the autumn put an end to the crisis in the team of Panathinaikos. The shareholders Giannis Vardinogiannis and Andreas Vgenopoulos were at odds and their reconciliation was the most desired turn of events. It came quite unexpectedly and surprised everyone. Because who could have expected the summer series of Vardinogiannis - Vgenopoulos that turned into a soap opera will have a happy end like an American production? Miraculously, the two men, who have become the most biter enemies in the beginning of the summer, instead of casting the usual duel glove during their last meeting they shook hands as if nothing ever happened and wrote END in capital letters!

They both, in the presence of Nicolas Pateras, decided at the meeting that lasted nearly four hours that the team, not controversy prevail. Vgenopulos and Pateras did not accept the proposal for a donation of 25% of the shares of the Vardinogiannis family. They, however, approved the proposal all shareholders to increase their capital in the club in the future. There was another positive development together with this surprising news. Nicolas Pateras will sit in the presidential chair of the greens. Pateras most demonstratively resigned at the end of May and Nikos Konstantopoulos took his place. Disappointed with the “dirty communication games” played against him he decided later in the summer that it would be better to become the president of the green water polo club instead of being the president of the football club. So, in the middle of the summer Pateras devoted his efforts to transfers of players for his new club in OAKA. But ... old love does not rust Pateras took the old scepter in his hand again.

The three men completely bowled over the journalists when they left the King George hotel hugging and smiling like never before. They knocked the fans of the team into a cocked hat, which until recently did not miss the chance to hiss Vardinogiannis. To better performance, he pointedly showed the inside of his jacket with a piece of Panathinaikos flannel sewn on it.

Obviously, Giannis Vardinogiannis, Mr. MIG and Nicolas Pateras have decided to put a new start in the club’s history. The happy news for the united management rapidly got to the changing rooms of the players. Now they will rest with relief that their club is finally healthy and intact. This is the end of the second summer soccer series after the Olympiakos coach odyssey series. The time for real soccer has come and the fate of the team will be worked out not in the offices but on the playground.
