Governor of the Bank of Greece George Provopoulos received today a letter with two 7.65 mm bullets. A similar letter was received by Mega TV journalist Yiannis Pretenderis. The envelope to the Governor of the Bank of Greece had been delivered along with his other post and found in the morning. There was also a threatening letter inside it. In the letter to Yiannis Pretenderis, there was only one bullet.

The case is under investigation by the anti-terrorism service whereas the envelope and the bullets have already been sent to the police laboratories for examination. According to Mega TV, the two letters had been sent by an organisation calling itself "People's punishers".

About a year ago, on 4 February 2013, a letter with bullets was sent to Minister of Finance Yiannis Stournaras. An organisation called "Cretan uprising" assumed responsibility for the act.
