Ledra Marriott leaves Greece after 30 years of presence

It is time for Ledra Marriott’s "end credits" in Greece since the hotel giant has decided to leave the country after 30 years of presence. In particular, Ledra Marriott Hotel at 115 Syngrou Avenue and the famous chain, Marriott International, have decided to terminate their cooperation with Athens.

The message posted by the Marriott group on its British web site states that, as of 31 December, the hotel will no longer function as Marriott and, of course, no bookings will be accepted after that date.

It should be noted, however, that the international chain states that it has not lost interest in Athens.

According to sources, the reason for the withdrawal of the international group is the fact that the owning company of the hotel, the Paraskevaidis group and Marriott have not reached consensus on the renewal of the contract for the management of the hotel, which expires at the end of the year.

The sad thing is that a collaboration that lasted for decades is ending ...

Meanwhile, the news has provoked ironic reactions on the social networks:

Fotis Kollias@fotisk: Marriott leaves but investors will come ... some time.

Kostas Mantzaris@KostasMantzaris: Marriott leaves and investors will not find anywhere to stay overnight, when they come...
