Year change is a period that is suitable for making analyses and striking balances. In early 2015, we decided to show you what the past year had been, in terms of the most read articles on our site.

Readers of the Bulgarian version had preferred the whole Amal and George Clooney family in their fight against the British Museum. The star couple drew huge attention not only for its initiative, but also for Amal Clooney’s visit to Greece. The archaeological theme continues in the second most popular article on our website, which brings together the interests of our readers' in the tomb in Amphipolis. The discoveries attracted the attention of both professional archaeologists and readers dedicated to the topic as well as that of the whole world, and they were identified as some of the most significant discoveries in recent years. Edessa, the town of waters, had deservedly attracted the attention of many of our readers. Its ranking reflects the popularity of all the travel notes for beautiful places in Greece that we have shared with you. A violent discussion was provoked by the statement of famous Greek composer Stamatis Kraounakis that they spoke the Bulgarian language in Northern Greece 100 years ago. Although it was published late last year, the theme was able to stir up the spirits and to grab the fourth place in our ranking. The liberalisation of citizenship had duly attracted the interest of our readers, as the Bulgarian community in Greece is one of the largest foreign communities in our southern neighbour.

What were the topics that excited the readers of our English version? The Onassis family had periodically provoked the interest of our readers. The fate of Skorpios Island had strongly attracted readers' attention, like the fact that Christina Onassis would have never allowed its sale would have done as well. The earthquakes that repeatedly rocked Greece over the past year successfully attacked the top of the rankings. The article stating that 50 researchers predict earthquakes seemed to be a scientific prophecy of the natural phenomena that followed. The earthquake in Kefalonia confirmed the predictions, thus successfully entering our rankings. Amal and George Clooney appear again, to confirm the interest that they managed to draw worldwide in an attempt to return to Greece the marble slabs taken by Lord Elgin in the 19th century.

Our Greek readers showed the greatest interest in the interview that archaeologist Diana Dimitrova gave for GRReporter exclusive. The archaeological saga continues with our article about how the Bulgarian troops had prevented the Lion of Amphipolis from being taken to England. Bulgarian tennis player Grigor Dimitrov who is increasingly improving his performance in the world rankings won the attention of our Greek readers with two whole articles. Not only did the game of the charming athlete attract the attention of numerous fans, but also his relationship with Russian tennis player Maria Sharapova. Twitter messages became the second occasion for Grigor to be present among the most read articles of the Greek version of our website. Living conditions in Bulgaria and Greece is infographics showing the efforts of our team to present statistical data in a comprehensible form. We are grateful for the attention paid by our readers to that particular infographics and to the entire section that it represents.

Archaeology and Hollywood stars, earthquakes, disasters, sports events and the secular maze of human relationships - all this and much more drove you, our readers, to visit GRReporter.info. We thank you for your attention, trust and support! New interesting events, articles, galleries, materials and documentaries by our team are in store for you in 2015.
