Even the ministers don’t pay pension security to their housemaids

Vaso Tsuni, who is deputy chairman of the Union of cleaning ladies and domestic assistants in the Attica region announced that the Union has a list with the names of ministers and Parliament members, who have employed cleaning ladies, however they do not pay their social securities and very soon the union will publish it.

Mrs. Tsuni announced this during a meeting of a committee regarding the case of Konstantinka Kuneva. Parliament members, present at the sitting considered that this list has to be introduced in the Parliament in order to avoid wasting time on spare words and generalization regarding their authority.

Mrs. Tsuni accused not only the ministers and members of Parliament, who hire illegally housemaids, but as a whole the companies for hiring staff, who are dealing with the cleaning of public and private sites. At the session of the committee were present the Citizen protection minister Mihalis Chrisohoidis, vice minister of employment Georgios Kutrumanis and the chairman of the Union GSEE Giannis Panagopoulos. Mrs. Accused the employer that not only they do not observe the law, but also they treat bad their employees, says the article in “Tea Nea” newspaper.

“They make them declare 740 euros, while they actually pay them 380 – 400 euro” said the chairman of GSEE Mr. Panagopoulos, stressing on the fact that the “bill of the ministry for protection of the labor relations does not at all deal with the matter regarding the entrepreneurs.”

Minister Chrisohoidis said that in the assault against Kuneva, most probably are involved people related to the organized crime. He also announced that the police departments which are responsible for areas with a large number of immigrants will employ psychologists, sociologists and second generation immigrants, who will help in the access of the other immigrants to the police departments.
