Cinnamon walks around town

As we began to talk about the summer in Athens last time it came to my mind to tell you about a restaurant-inn downtown in the area of Gazi which has since recently become popular. Its name is "Cinnamon". "Cinnamon" is a wonderful proposal to stop for lunch or dinner during the long summer days and nights in the city.

The inn has angular positioning, which means that you can sometimes peered out from one side, then from the other side, and due to the provident interior design you remain completely unnoticed. But enough Cinnamon-summer jokes!

"Cinnamon" is for those tired of pretense and mannerism "citizens" who are looking for a piece of land in the town, to feel understood and protected from vanity. That is actually a modern, absorbing the fatigue tavern with particularly nice atmosphere. Wharf or island in the city? Yes. It is not by chance that on the business card that will take when leaving you will see a happy dreamy chubby lady. To remind you about "Cinnamon" and about the fact that the weight is never redundant!

The restaurant is small but cozy. Once you get to it you can rest easy ... inside is waiting for you the Sunday lunch of mummy. The menu consists of specially selected Greek meals in simple, very "human" and democratic style. Chefs will not make you an unpleasant surprise with unexpected complex variations that burden the already tormented by endless problems urban soul. But yet the food here has a touch of fantasy. I can guarantee for the minced meat served with spinach and drained milk, for the peppers stuffed with cheese and tomato and for the zucchini and avocado salad. (Nowhere else serve it like this!). I did not try, but I saw the pork with mushrooms, the home made fries, fried cheese ("saganaki") and carefully prepared hors d'oeuvres. I heard from customers also of the delicious chicken in beer sauce, a salad of carrots and cashew nuts and stewed vegetables. And there is one white wine... Order a larger pot! For dessert get a roses jam. We already said that the inn has a fantasy!

And now a bit about the design. You can rest assured it is mild and not burdening. Knives and forks reminded of your grandmother’s tableware, but instead of tight white tablecloth you will eat on a piece of beige paper.

So during the break between the talks about the new films of the summer theaters, music scenes, reading and writing in blogs and generally rethinking of the past year (if you count from summer to summer, ), you can come here to eat something tasty and good. And then think about life again ...

Not to mention that in "Cinnamon" you can meet artists, singers and journalists who have also appreciated the freshness of the place.

And most importantly: the inn is aware of the emptiness of the pockets of their customers and with 14-10 euros it will try to feed you.
