Girls with tight dresses and their foreheads painted in grey. Women with haircuts from the Middle ages and dresses inspired by the heroes from the movies. This is nothing else, but the stage of Athens Xclusive Desidgners Week – the biggest event in the world of fashion in Greece. This year the fashion week in Athens started on 20/03 and will last until 23/03 including and the collection which it presents is for the fall-winter season 2010 – 11. In the event are taking part the designers Antonoglou & Ivanova, Lito Konstantinou, Dimitris Paraskevopoulos, Evelina Litina, Hristina Scarpelli, Anna Bekiri, Rita Attala, Marit and Francois Jirbaud, Barbara Bui, Romina Karamanea, Melina Pispa, Vicky Kulianou, Adam Jones, Angelos Fretzos and others.

The first day of the fashion fiesta started with the presentation of the collections of the designers Miltos, Elena Pavlou, Stelios Kudunanis and Yoanna Guya. www.grreporter.info was also next to the stage. Among the collections presented on the stage, the most impressive ones were the collections of Miltos and Two In A Gondola by Elena Pavlou. Miltos’ models provoked the interest of the audience, which was definitely impressed by the idea of the Greek of the modern woman. In his eyes she is tall and shapely, dressed in a rambling dress from a fabric which resembles silk. The style in which he projects her is classical stylish, stressing on the female shapes and with a note of high class fantasy. In their pattern and colors his dresses remind of the clothes of an ancient Greek Goddess. Contrary to all the expectations however the haircuts of the models whom the designer presented on the fashion stage were a mix of cosmic chaos and the hair style of a Medieval governor. Precisely the hair styles were the emphasis of the collection with their majesty and splendor.  Great excitement also caused the dress covered with a long, black cape which carried the audience just for a moment in the Batman movie.

The designer Miltos is born in Athens and his first touch with the fashion in his job as a manager in a famous company for silver clothes. His own fashion house he opens 17 years ago as a student in Veloudakis Fashion School. Currently the studio of the designer is located in Kolonaki. There he creates collections pret-a-porter and haute couture and also unique models of wedding dresses.

Minimalist, but also having a note of cosmic fantasy was the collection Two In A Gondola by Elena Pavlou. The designer of Cypriot origin presented her unique image of the world as she sees and feels it – multilayer with a mix of cultures. Elena has graduated fashion (haute couture) in Rome and the her inspiration currently comes to her exactly by mixing the elements of haute couture with prêt-a-porter. The collection Two In A Gondola symbolizes the two faces of the character of the designer. The Cypriot impressed the audience with the clear lines of the models, the short, tight skirts and dresses, the neat hairstyles of the mannequins and the complete dynamic, which radiates from the collection. An emphasis in the collection were the grey spots, expressively drown on the foreheads of the models which gave the show a taste of mystery….
